Abstract
|
|
|
Purpose: To implement a blood glucose management system automatically transmitting and monitoring the data measured by glucose module on smart phone.
Materials and Methods: Transmission protocol was designed between the glucose module and the smart phone, followed by blood glucose management program development consisting of 5 sub-modules of manual input, direct measurement, result management, report, and configuration.
Results: Errorless automatic data transmission was confirmed from the glucose module to the smart phone. User friendly program modules well operated including the manual input function when having used independent glucose module. The scroll function, one of the best advantages of the smart phone, was applied and voice service function was also implemented, for user convenience.
Conclusion: A blood glucose management system with smart phone was implemented in such a way that effective disease management would be possible by user friendly menu system.
